Our A-Level teaching staff are passionate about their subjects and their commitment will help students to succeed in their chosen subjects. Classes are small, as is the Sixth Form itself, allowing personal learning support which is something that makes VISion truly a unique place to learn. Monitoring of progress and regular assessments help ensure that they are on track to achieve their goals.
The majority of students at Sion Sixth Form will complete three A Levels and an Extended Project Qualification. Students wishing to study four A levels will be supported and encouraged, needing the approval of the Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form based on previous academic success.
Study at A Level requires a high grade performance at GCSE and a high degree of commitment to carry out extensive study and research outside of lesson hours.
These requirements reflect our understanding that A Level study is demanding. Thus we do require a level of success at GCSE that will promote the very best outcomes at A Level.
